Harnessing the Power of Sprouts: A Path to Health and Wellness with Steve Wohlberg

In today’s fast-paced world, it’s easy to overlook the importance of our health amidst our busy schedules. Yet, maintaining our physical well-being is crucial for a fulfilling life. While many of us are familiar with conventional methods of staying healthy, such as regular exercise and a balanced diet, there’s a lesser-known yet highly effective approach that deserves attention: sprouting.

In a recent conversation with Steve Wohlberg, who is the director of White Horse Media and well-known for his work in biblical prophecy. He is also very involved in health and supporting his overall well-being. In this interview we discussed sprouting and its profound impact on health and wellness.

Steve Wohlberg’s journey into sprouting began as a teenager during his “B.C. days” (before Christ), a time when he found himself immersed in the world of entertainment and unhealthy habits. Amidst the chaos, he felt compelled to counterbalance his destructive behaviors with positive actions. Thus, he turned to sprouting as a means to nurture his body amidst the battle between good and evil.

Sprouting, as Steve describes it, is a simple yet powerful process of germinating seeds to unlock their nutritional potential. By soaking seeds in water and allowing them to sprout, individuals can create nutrient-rich superfoods right in their own kitchens. Steve emphasized the accessibility and affordability of sprouting, dispelling common misconceptions about the time and resources required.

Beyond the nutritional boost, sprouts offer a plethora of health benefits. Steve highlighted their role in supporting digestion, reducing the risk of chronic diseases, and enhancing overall well-being. Through his own experience and research, he emphasized the transformative impact of incorporating sprouts into one’s diet.

Recognizing the importance of spreading awareness about sprouting, Steve developed an educational course to guide individuals through the process. Through “Sprouting with Steve,” participants gain access to step-by-step instructions, practical tips, and invaluable resources to kickstart their sprouting journey. Steve’s passion for empowering others shines through as he encourages everyone to embrace the mantra: “You can do it.”

As we navigate the complexities of modern life, prioritizing our health is paramount. Steve Wohlberg’s journey into sprouting serves as a testament to the profound impact of simple yet intentional lifestyle choices. By harnessing the power of sprouts, individuals can nourish their bodies, elevate their well-being, and embark on a path to vibrant health. Whether you’re a seasoned health enthusiast or a curious beginner, consider exploring the world of sprouting and unlocking its endless possibilities for a healthier, happier life.

In these turbulent times, the weight of the world presses on our hearts, from the heart-wrenching tragedies in Lahaina Maui, the wildfires in Argentina, the flooding in Libya, the war between Russia and Ukraine, and now the horror in Israel and Palestine. We are witnessing the birth pangs foretold by Paul. The contractions intensify like a mother about to give birth; when you are in the midst of them, the intensity can be paralyzing. But, only for a moment. Are we not, as Christians, thankful for the hope we have in Jesus?

In these times of distress and uncertainty, it is of utmost importance to take Jesus’s teachings regarding the end times to heart. He warned us against deception and fear, as mentioned in Matthew 24:4-5. He foretold the rise of nations against nations and kingdoms against kingdoms, as found in Matthew 24:7. Furthermore, He earnestly encouraged us to actively share the gospel as witnesses, underscoring that it is through this role, that the end shall come, as emphasized in Matthew 24:14.

As we reflect on these teachings of Jesus about the end times, we find a profound connection to the transformative power of His message. Christ’s character is completed in his people- BEFORE He will come. For many of us, the belief that Christ’s character must be fulfilled in His people before His return seems distant and unfathomable. However, today, we see hearts transforming. Love awakening on a grand scale. A hunger and a thirst for the righteousness of Christ surges through the souls of many. We have seen Jesus being loudly proclaimed and worshipped on the streets here on the Hawaiian islands. People are healing, not just from their sins but from the deeply rooted wounds that bind them to a dark, unforgiving past. Friends, Jesus desires to relieve us of our burdens. All of them. Yes, our sins, but even the hurts and pains that bind us like a ball and chain against a cold, unyielding wall.

While witnessing people healing from their emotional, physical, and spiritual pains, our hearts are heavy as we observe certain prominent people departing from the faith—once great men and women of God, once fervent preachers and teachers. Once influential Christian authors now leaving all that they once stood for. Timothy’s warning is fitting for what is taking place today, “Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron.” 1 Timothy 4:1-2.

Some folks are teaching and preaching that repentance is not something to concern ourselves with. We were forgiven at the cross, and Jesus covers us to the extent that we do not need to change. Many believe in a gospel that does not need a heart transformation. But with the times we live in, we DO need Jesus. We do need a transformation of our hearts and minds. He wants to take us on a journey through the process of sanctification towards holiness. Study the sanctuary message found in Exodus. Study the symbolism of each article of the sanctuary, the altar of sacrifice, the table of shewbread, and so on. It is a window into the united workings of God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit. A pathway forward to complete restoration and healing and holiness. “Thy way, Oh God, is in the sanctuary.” Psalm 77:13. And because Jesus is THE WAY (John 14:6), you will find him in the sanctuary message.

We find ourselves navigating these challenging times, it is our belief that a sifting process is underway within the church, much like the parable Jesus shared in Matthew 13. Our earnest prayer is that we stay unwavering in our faith, resolute in our beliefs, and committed to sharing the message of salvation with a world that seems lost, holding firm to the wisdom found in 1 Corinthians 15:58. “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.”

In the times we live in, we need Jesus more than ever. As parents of little children, we strive to be more like Him each day. To show our children love, kindness, patience, gentleness, and wisdom. Raising children has made us even more aware of our need to “work out our own salvation with fear and trembling before the Lord.” Philippians 2:12.

With so many fearful events happening in today’s world, we can choose to have awareness of these events, or not. If we do read into it, watch it unfold, or even if we have lived through crisis we must not lead others to Jesus in fear, but through hope. That is to bring the hope of His salvation and the glories of heaven. We also believe it is wrong of us as the body of Christ to lead others to Jesus in fear, whether through Revelation seminars, diet changes, dress reform, corrupt politicians, apostate Protestantism, or the World Economic Forum. We pray for God to help us, to have His love, wisdom, patience, and His humility.

We also feel a need to share that we as a church must repent of our legalism, our pride, and our fears. Yes fear was recently used to spiritually manipulate others to go against their conscience. As the great Martin Luther once said over 500 years ago, “To go against conscience is neither safe, nor right.” This still rings true today.

In 2 Corinthians 3:17, we read these beautiful words, “Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” This liberty is not a free pass for reckless behavior but rather freedom from our sins. Freedom from the hurts and the pains. Throughout history, Satan has burdened us with painful experiences. Jesus wants to blot out of our memories the burdens and sins others have caused, and we ourselves have caused. Isn’t that GOOD NEWS? Hallelujah. As these memories come to our minds, we can ask the Holy Spirit to replace these sinful memories with depictions of the life of Jesus. Remember the satanist turned Seventh-day Adventist author and prayer warrior Roger Morneau? He claimed Matthew 27: 24-54 every day. He called it The Power Chapter because he was able to overcome the satanic experiences and evil he experienced by the blood of Jesus.

May we be the light in these challenging times, extending love, grace, and hope to those who suffer. May we embrace the transformations we can receive through the power of Christ, walking the path toward righteousness with unwavering faith. We hope this article is a blessing, but also empowering for you to claim the victory from the blood of Jesus and find the healing you need. Corinthians 5:17 tells us, “Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” Together, as we journey towards Christ’s character being fulfilled in His people, we await His glorious return.

In our modern age, our daily lives expose us to an array of toxins present in our surroundings. Whether it’s the air we breathe, the food we consume, or the water we drink, these harmful substances are ubiquitous. According to experts, an alarming 90-95% of cancers have their roots in environmental and lifestyle factors.[1] The unsettling reality is that there are approximately 350,000 human-made chemicals, encompassing plastics, pesticides, industrial compounds, cosmetic ingredients, antibiotics, and various pharmaceuticals, that are in the supply change that pose a risk to human health[2], with around 1,500 new chemicals introduced annually, of which only a fraction undergo safety evaluations.[3] This article explores the pervasive impact of toxins on our health and, specifically, their detrimental effects on the liver.

The Perils of Indoor Air Quality: A Hidden Danger

Our homes, where we seek refuge, are not immune to the toxicity that surrounds us. Recent research by the EPA has unveiled a shocking revelation: the air within American households can be up to 100 times more polluted than the air outdoors.[4] Everyday items like furniture and carpets emit toxic gases, while common household cleaners release carcinogenic fumes. This indoor air pollution contains hazardous elements such as carbon monoxide, lead, insecticides, and pesticides, all of which pose a grave risk to our health. The implications for our liver health are concerning, as the liver plays a crucial role in detoxifying our bodies.[5]

The Food We Consume: A Silent Source of Toxins

Beyond the air we breathe, the food we put on our plates can be a hidden source of toxins. The FDA has issued warnings highlighting the presence of over 50 different poisons and toxic substances commonly found in the average American’s grocery cart. These contaminants can enter our bodies through our diets, potentially affecting the liver’s ability to process and eliminate toxins. Understanding the risks associated with our food choices is vital for maintaining liver health.[6]

Tainted Tap Water: A Widespread Problem

Water, the essence of life, is not immune to contamination. Radioactive elements in tap water, including radium, radon, and uranium, have affected as many as 50 million Americans, or 1 in 7 people across the nation.[7] Furthermore, the shocking truth is that pharmaceuticals and other toxins can pose harmful effects on humans and livestock and end up back in our food supply.[8],[9] This underscores the importance of being vigilant about the quality of our water sources and the potential repercussions for our liver.

Your Body as a Toxic Repository: Unveiling the Evidence

Scientific analysis of various bodily fluids, including fat, blood, urine, breath, breast milk, and even semen, has revealed a disconcerting reality. Every individual on this planet, irrespective of their geographical location, carries chemicals within them. These include notorious compounds like Dioxins (Agent Orange), PCBs, DDT, Organophosphates, and Organochlorines, to name a few. These substances infiltrate our tissues and circulate throughout our bodies, contributing to the alarming rise in cancer rates and reproductive issues, from impotence to infertility and birth defects to the endocrine system. The endocrine system controls mood, growth and development, the way our organs work, metabolism, and reproduction; therefore, understanding the extent of this toxic burden is vital for raising awareness about the liver’s role in detoxification and its need for support.[10],[11],[12][13]

In conclusion, it is an undeniable reality that, regardless of your lifestyle or place of residence, your liver consistently faces the onslaught of harmful toxins, leading to compromised functionality and potential damage. Acknowledging the profound influence of these toxins on our liver health serves as the initial step toward taking proactive measures to safeguard this vital organ and our overall well-being. Assuming responsibility for our health involves minimizing our exposure to toxic substances, a critical step in improving our overall well-being. Additionally, enhancing our antioxidant intake by adopting a diet rich in fruits and vegetables plays a crucial role in counteracting the adverse effects of toxin exposure. Moreover, integrating herbs known for supporting the body’s detoxification processes is another beneficial avenue, exemplified by the incorporation of our 10-Day Super Detox program as a means to bolster overall health.

Black Bean Tempeh Tacos

I was visiting one of my closest friends in town, and she told me her husband had been making black bean tempeh tacos, and they just loved them. I was intrigued as I've never used crumbled tempeh as taco meat substitute, but it definitely works! I was able to come up with our own version of this recipe which includes your very own taco seasoning blend! I hope you enjoy it as it is very tasty!
Note: Coconut aminos is a soy sauce substitute that comes directly from the sap of the coconut tree. It has a yummy umami taste like soy sauce, but it is less salty and sweeter. You can use either low sodium soy sauce or Bragg Liquid Aminos instead of coconut aminos. We have made it with Bragg's and coconut aminos. However, coconut aminos will offer a sweeter taste and will be overall less salty.

Ingredients

Black Bean Tempeh Taco filling

  • 2 tbsp olive oil extra virgin
  • 2 8 oz. packages of plain tempeh
  • 1/4 Cup coconut aminos
  • 2 tbsp vegan Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp taco seasoning blend*
  • 2 Cans black beans, drained and rinsed or 3 cups home-cooked beans

Taco Seasoning Blend*

  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 2 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp oregano powder

Instructions

Black Bean Tempeh Taco filling instructions

  • Chop or crumble tempeh into small 1-inch pieces. Place in a bowl or plastic bag and marinate with olive oil, aminos, Worcestershire sauce, and seasoning.
  • If you really want to soak in the flavor- marinate overnight. If not, you will still get good flavor if you mix and use it right away.
  • sauté marinated tempeh in a large skillet over medium heat until tempeh starts to turn golden brown. Just before finishing, add in the black beans and stir occasionally and sauté for a few more minutes, just enough to coat with seasoning and warm the beans. If you leave beans in a hot skillet too long with very little liquid, they will start to crack and harden.
  • Remove from heat and serve over warmed tortillas and your favorite taco toppings! Store leftover tempeh black bean mixture in an airtight container in the fridge and within two to three days. If storing in the freezer, make sure it is an airtight container and use it within six months.

Taco Seasoning Blend instructions

  • Blend all the spices and herbs together. Store in an airtight container. Yields about five tablespoons.

Notes

Call to Action
We find in Numbers chapter 11 that the children of Israel, tired of the pure bread from heaven called manna, cried out for the fleshpots of Egypt. God heard their complaining and sent quail for a whole month. However, the Lord also sent a plague, and the Israelites that had complained and craved the meat the most ended up dying. While this may not be anyone's predicament today- we still challenge you to begin your meals with a thankful and grateful heart, for this is the will of God in you (1 Thessalonians 5:18). Over the years, nutritional science has shown far greater diseases occurring in farm animals, such as cancer, leukemia, and infectious diseases too. With so much disease taking place, it is much healthier to find whole foods, plant-based ingredients that can substitute meat.
